Trivia: The Cow Palace is [used to be?] in *Daly City*, CA. (suburb=slum=railroad yards of San Francisco=built as a livestock exhitibion hall=you can imagine the acoustical quality of the joint=went to a Stones concert there in 1970 and couldn\t hear one lyric, except for the Ike and Tina Turner set (what a set of lungs!)=Jagger sounded like he was singing from somewhere across the Bay), but what I\m writing about is whether recordings of this or any other of your Dead shows are available for ftp downloading, now or anytime in the future. I don\t know what those assholes at CARP or CRAP, or whatever they call themselves, are up to, but to tell you the truth, I\m willing to pay $0.0014 per play to the Dead (but they\re all really *dead*, aren\t they?) for the kind of jam-kickin\ music you\re playing. In other words, I would be willing to pay for the CDs, but I just don\t want the hardware cluttering up my room.Isn\t that the real issue here? Whether you have to order a piece of worthless plastic with a hole in it from some mail-order house or get the software lickety-split over the cypberwaves. What\s the difference? Anyway, I could just wait and get a lot of it from Usenet groups, anyway, now couldn\t I? This all confuses the hell out me.
